This term refers to the fact that sexuality, sexual attraction, and sexual behavior can change over time and vary based on circumstances.

Homoromantic refers to people who are romantically attracted to those of a similar gender to their own. They may not feel sexual attraction toward these people, though. Since sex ratio (male/female) for these ages is approximately 1 [ 43], this means that approximately 55% of students are girls in high schools. This accounts for the higher female presence in our sample.

Survey participants were also asked whether they would like to know more about sexuality topics. A wide majority of participants said they would like to know more about all the contents presented. However, both boys and girls expressed greater interest in issues such as how to better manage feelings and emotions (86.9% boys, 94.8% girls) and what "falling in love" means (83.3% and 89.9%). On most topics, girls showed a higher desire to know more, except boys' physical changes, contraception, how to know when one is ready to have sex and how to better manage sexual drive: on these topics, boys' desire to know more was higher (Table 2). God is love. He is the Blessed Trinity, a Communion of three Divine Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—continuously giving and receiving love, one to the other. God calls all people to communion with Him and with each other through the Church, the Body of Christ. We live out this call to communion in various ways whether as clergy, consecrated religious, married persons, or in the single state—in families, friendships, in the parish, in a religious community, with colleagues at work, among fellow citizens, and indeed with the global community. A unique form of communion to which most people are called is found in marriage, the one-flesh communion of persons between husband and wife. "Marriage is the icon of God's love for us" ( Amoris Laetitia, 121). A romantic orientation that describes individuals whose romantic attraction exists in the gray area between romantic and aromantic. When a man and a woman come together in the conjugal embrace (sexual intercourse) and bring forth new life, it is an awe-inspiring act of God's generosity. It is a gift. This is why the Church has often spoken of procreation being a "primary good" of marriage. It is the invitation by the Lord of all Creation to share in the sacred task of procreating new people with an eternal destiny. A person who identifies as aromantic may not feel any romantic attraction toward anyone. They may not want a relationship beyond friendship.
