Is all that weird piled up in one place because of ley lines? I dunno, could just as easily be because of the legends immigrants brought with them and the area is kind of conducive to telling spooky stories.

To the north, the line passes through St Anne’s Limehouse, one of six churches designed by Nicholas Hawksmoor — and, in fact, right through a mysterious pyramid standing just outside the church building. Its purpose is unknown. It is not a tomb. And it has “Wisdom of Solomon” carved into it. Easter Island is a small island in the South Pacific Ocean. It is famous for the statues of the giant alien-looking faces — the Moai. Easter Island is remote, some 2,300 miles from the west coast of Chile and 2,500 miles east of Tahiti. Sacred Destinations. "Sedona Vortexes." 2015. (Jan. 14, 2015) http://www.sacred-destinations.com/usa/sedona-vortexes Williamson and Bellamy's book brought two different responses from the ley hunter community. [41] Some maintained that even if the presence of earth energies running through ley lines could not be demonstrated with empirical evidence and rational argumentation, this did not matter; for them, a belief in ley lines was an act of faith, and in their view archaeologists were too narrow-minded to comprehend this reality. [41] The other approach was to further engage archaeologists by seeking out new data and arguments to bolster their beliefs in ley lines. [41] Hutton noted that this pulled along "a potential fissure between rationalism and mysticism which had always been inherent in the movement". [41] For the uninitiated like us, it is hard to know. And purposely so. Not coincidentally, the very last line of the Monas Hieroglyphica reads: “Here the vulgar eye will see nothing but Obscurity and will despair considerably.”

some people remembered what had happened here and cared enough about it to commemorate the spot. Perhaps the secret society that created the omphalos is still around to guard it. In fact, as you follow the ley line from the omphalos south to the river, you notice that almost the entire stretch is undeveloped: parks, gardens, football pitches. Sanderson believed that electromagnetic disturbances from hot and cold airflow might cause these areas’ abnormal activity.

If we just look at Watkins’ original idea, he was indeed correct that often you can draw perfectly straight lines along major monuments in Britain. The Malvern Hills in the United Kingdom, said by Alfred Watkins to have a ley line passing along their ridge To the south, the line passes exactly between both wings of the Old Royal Naval College, right on the south bank of the river in Greenwich. It is on the spot where once stood Placentia Palace, the birthplace of Elizabeth I. A bit further south, it passes through the Queen’s House. These ancient cultures possessed knowledge we lost with the rise of anti-intellectualism and organized religion. We are only now re-discovering parts of this knowledge. However, we have more questions than answers. Some believe this energy source is what Nikola Tesla (8) investigated. He thought the magnetic field of the earth was a free source of energy, but his work was undermined and discredited by Thomas Edison. Mr. Edison wanted to develop a way to generate and sell electricity. Sacred Geometry Vibrational EnergyFrom one perspective, the tale of ley-hunting is one of a classic modern religious movement, arising with an apocalyptic language which appropriated some of the tropes of evangelical Christianity, flourished for a brief time, and then subsided into a set of motifs and assumptions retained by a particular subculture of believers. From another, it is a frustrating tale of missed opportunities. The neglect of landscape and sensory experience by mainstream archaeology in the mid twentieth century was indeed a serious omission, which earth mysteries researchers could well have remedied to the lasting benefit of knowledge [...] Misled by a fixed and dogmatic set of ideas, however, they passed this by to focus on an attempted proof of beliefs which were ultimately based on faith alone. Ley lines have been found all over the world since Watkins originally put his ideas to paper, with some being found in India, China and even Australia.

Whether the lines were networks of landmarks intended to guide alien visitors to population centres or were wellsprings of natural energy, or whether they are nothing at all, the idea has become so popular that it can be really difficult to ignore it. Therefore, it may not necessarily imply a great deal that you can draw these lines—at least in the south of England as he did. The terrain at Mudchute Park is much higher than it was in Dee’s time. So the omphalos is much more recent than Dee’s time. Leys and their accompanying energy lines probably occur all over the world and have been used by shamen, pagans, and others who are attuned to the network for millenia. Since my interest was sparked in the 1970s I’ve noticed how there’s not only a growing acceptance of them but also a widening belief that they form an energy grid that surrounds our planet. For example, structures which are considered haunted are often said to be much more active, even dangerous, when along a ley line. Again, ideas such as this originated much later than Watkins’ original book, but are certainly the overall perception of the phenomenon today.Extensive research has been done on some of the UK’s most important ley lines. Two that are worthy of close attention are The Spine of Albion by Gary Bilcliffe and Caroline Hoare, and The Axis of Heaven by Paul Broadhurst and Gabriele Trso.

Being able to draw connections between them in this way is inevitable given the sheer number of them. Even Plato spoke about this in his work, Timaeus. He explained the planetary grid as the synthesis of platonic solids. Somehow, this pattern expresses the ideal body of the cosmos. Our bodies contain the essence of these intricate patterns. Perhaps that is why ley lines and vibrational geometry draw our attention. After all, we are part of the planet Earth. References The St. Michael’s Ley Line, for instance, has been traced from Skellig Michael on the west coast of Ireland, all the way to the Monastero Sella Maris monastery in Israel. Mathematics and geometry are subjects that intrigue many people. Geometry, in particular, is interesting because we can see it in action when we put sand on a flat surface. We vibrate the surface, and a shape appears in the sand. As we change the frequency of the vibration, different geometric shapes appear.
